  • How do I know if my student needs extra help with a subject?

    Additional supports in a subject area may be identified at the beginning of the year through testing. A subject-specific specialty teacher will contact you if your student needs additional learning support.

  • How do I know which stream I am in?

  • How many hours per day should I expect my student to spend on schoolwork?

    This will vary from student to student. Some students can complete their schoolwork in less time than others. So we encourage students to do their best – no matter how much time this takes. Essentially, you need to find a routine that works best for your student.

  • What is one of the easiest things I can do to improve my student’s online learning experience?

    Get a second monitor. Extending your desk screen makes everything easier, and it is relatively inexpensive.

  • How do I know which classes my student needs to take?

    No, but they should do their best to. There are no “late marks” deducted if these are not followed. Pacing dates are set with both the students’ and teachers’ workload in mind. However, keep in mind that if too many assignments are uploaded past the pacing dates at the end…

  • If a class is too hard can I drop the course?

    Yes. There is a withdrawal cut-off date for each stream. Just let your subject or homeroom teacher know.
