How do I know if my student needs extra help with a subject?

Additional supports in a subject area may be identified at the beginning of the year through testing. A subject-specific specialty teacher will contact you if your student needs additional learning support.

How many hours per day should I expect my student to spend on schoolwork?

This will vary from student to student. Some students can complete their schoolwork in less time than others. So we encourage students to do their best – no matter how much time this takes. Essentially, you need to find a routine that works best for your student.

What is one of the easiest things I can do to improve my student’s online learning experience?

Get a second monitor. Extending your desk screen makes everything easier, and it is relatively inexpensive.

Does my student need to follow the pacing dates set out by their subject teachers?
