Why does my student need to keep a reading log?

It is VERY important in the development of your student’s ELA skills to read every single day! The reading log is a way to keep the student and the mentor accountable for this. This also shows your teacher what you are reading. They make suggestions on reading difficulty or recommend books you may like based on your reading logs.
